I believe that therapy is an opportunity to provide clients with the environment necessary to increase their insight into their lives, and things that could be better with in it. Often times, clients come to therapy when things feel is though they are out of control, and need fixing. At this point, they have talked to their friends, spouses, and other loved ones so much that they feel as though they are no longer being heard or understood. Clients often come in needing a fresh pair of ears, and I thoroughly enjoy listening to them, providing empathy, and interventions to help them increase their overall functioning in their homes, schools, workplaces, and social and family environments.
I believe that everyone has the capacity to heal, change, and become who they truly want to be. Sometimes, they just need a little assistance in doing so.
